| Hello People, I'm running windows 7 64 bit, condesor Sterling ST 55 to a USB Alesis Mixer (through a Presonus Blue Tube Mic Pre). My problem is simple. I can't record sound at all. I can drag and drop audio and hear that, but when it comes to recording sound- Studio one will not even allow me to arm a track to record. I've configured my system from the start page but to no avail. Just a full disclaimer, I've been runnig Sonar for about 10 years, and decided to give this a try before I purchase the producer version, but I can't get past 1st base. Any suggestions? | Are the outputs listed at all? Any way you can post a screen shot of your input configuration so we can see whats going on? Remember, Free is limited to 2 simultaneous inputs, but you should be able to configure 1 stereo or 2 mono inputs. Lets try to get this squared away, but once we do I recommend you try the demo of Pro instead of fiddling with free. That will give you a better idea of S1 functionality. But the demo is 30 days, so don't waste any of the 30 days on configuring sound. Once you get your input working in Free, it will work in all versions. I watched tutorials and the input box on other peoples have choices to add mono or stereo inputs. Mine is totally blank. Have you found a solution for this? Thanks |
| If input options are not showing up, its most likely because the sound device selected does not have inputs. If you are using input hardware, make sure that it is selected as the default device, and you can do that from the start page (Configure Audio Device). | Just downloaded Prime and I get the same problem. I'm on Mac OS 10.8.5 using MOTU 823mkIII - firewire. The interface shows up nicely and can be selected. It's showing it's inputs but there are no add or remove. Outputs are showing and are connected but no add or remove there either. I also tried a small Mackie Onyx USB interface which is class compliant and so should work instantly without drivers. Same behaviour. | I just discovered that if I create a new song using the Vocal + Guitar template I get two assignable inputs. Not obvious at all. I believe Presonus loses some potential customers by hiding the inputs away like this. I was almost ready to ditch the thing believing it wasn't compaitble with my hardware. |
| If you are trying to test features and compatability for possible purchase, install the demo version instead. 30 days, full function, with the exception of MP3 support. | I also downloaded the free version of Presonus one 4 and activated the 30 day demo to try to record but there is no 'record device' listed under options; just 'audio device'. I can see the input volume bottom left and can arm the track but it will not record. I am using windows 10 PC and Komplete Audio 6 interface. I tried this with guitar, voice and midi with no luck. I was hoping to at least get a trial recorded track before deciding whether to purchase or not. It seems like they disabled the record device option. ...Any suggestions? |
